All the surviving episodes of Johnny Speight's classic sitcom about a bigoted working-class man and his beleaguered family. Alf Garnett (Warren Mitchell) rants and raves interminably about everything from race to politics. Anything that will likely generate discomfort or derision is fair game, and the discomfort is felt aplenty by his unfortunate wife Else (Dandy Nichols) and daughter Rita (Una Stubbs), while the derision mainly comes from his argumentative son-in-law Mike (Anthony Booth).

Displaying the prejudices and bigotry found in conservative working-class culture at the time, the sitcom had a profound impact on the future of television comedy.
