For years Melody has been alone. Her husband of five years went off to war and was killed, leaving her with two little boys. Mel raised her two sons on her own, rarely taking any time for herself. So she waited and now, her oldest was twenty-one and planning his own wedding. It was time to take her life back and find happiness beyond the joy she has with her children. A trip to Columbia with a girlfriend is just what she needs. That is until she gets grabbed by sex slavers and kept in the middle of the damn jungle. All she wanted was some cheap plastic surgery, put her forty-three year old boobs back where they belong and tuck her pooch of a tummy away. Is that what she got? Oh hell no!Mitch had planned to refuse the job that came across his desk. The large sum of money was a mere drop in the bucket to a man like him. Yes he was a mercenary but he was still one of the good guys. He had served his country and when he retired at forty he decided to start his own company. His was a rescue and recovery company for high value targets. A stupid tourist getting herself caught in a jungle in South America was not a HVT. That is, at least until he sees her last name and does a little research. How can Mitch ignore the plight of the widow of the Canadian Forces Captain who saved his life and died in the process. Mitch always felt he needed to pay that man back some how, maybe saving the man's wife would finally clear his conscience . . . and make him some money at the same time.
