They met under the worse circumstances. Naphtali had never before been attracted to a woman he pulled out of a vehicle. Never once had he had strong feelings for a victim of a car accident. He had calmed and soothed multiple victims in his career as a firefighter while his team used the jaws of life to free them from their car but never once had a woman touched him like Carmen. Well, who the hell would want her now? She'd always been strong and independent but you couldn't be independent when you were learning to walk all over again with only one leg. After that accident that had crushed her lower left leg everything in her life had changed. Nothing would ever be the same but maybe not all of that was bad. Maybe, just maybe with Naph at her side she could make all that bad good. Not just good but better than it had been before.
