She left him her kids, she had asked him to raise her son and her daughter as if they were his own. Cal absolutely would do anything for Vicki, including being the legal guardian to her two kids after she died. Only he didn't know she died until she'd already been gone a year. Vicki had told her if she ever needed anything to find Cal Martin but the one time they had met he hadn't seemed all that interested in accepting his responsibilities. He'd told Vicki he would be the kid's guardian but did he think it was a joke? He didn't even know Vicki had died even though Ronnie had sent him all the information months before. Now she had no choice, Ronnie had to find him, their lives depended on it. And apparently so did her heart.
