This is the sequel to Awakened by the Wind. After Clint is given a third chance at life, he is compelled to help someone else. However, he doesn't know who it is or where they live. All he knows is that answers wait somewhere along the Alaska Highway, and he sets out north, across Canada. He befriends a blind Canadian (Jack) who guides Clint to the Yukon, where the pair then go panning for gold. They find more than gold. They find the purpose of Clint's journey.
