Prize-winning author, Michael J. Merry has published a new novel, "Six honest serving men". The title is taken from a poem by Rudyard Kipling. In the book 'the six' become part of a Cartel gathered by the ex-president of Maraguay, (introduced in "The Reluctant Colonel") Jorge MacGregor. Eleven years after retiring, MacGregor has become disillusioned by the corruption that has taken over the country, and wants to change this. Personally rich, he and others fund an operation that plans to oust the government by mounting a series of abductions aimed at corrupt Ministers of State. The book goes into the details of how the kidnappings are carried out, and the effect they have on stemming the stealing of funds so prevalent in the present government. Finally, we learn the outcome of all the efforts that were made and how changes eventually came to pass.
