While it cannot replace cotton, it can become an important cash crop giving multiple income-four to five times from an acre of land, in ten months out of twelve - to the farmer of the tropical area. Now a day's silkworm nutrition is an important area many scientist are supplementing many natural as well as synthetic supplements for growth and vigour and consequently for quality and quantity silk production.
