The research in the field of peace education is emerging of late in the educational institutions and some of the key concerns identified are absolutely relevant to be absorbed at school and personal levels. While the whole world is developing in to an organized community, the concept of peace education should encompass the highly skewed definition of peace. The world community today is suffering more as a consequence of the indirect violence; people at large are suffering due to hunger, denial of human rights, gross military overspending and environmental degradation.
