In recent years, our glorious Mother Earth has seen exponential population growth, rapid urbanization and industrialization, indiscriminate disposal of industrial wastes and emissions, degradation of forest cover, depletion of non-renewable energy resources, hazards of industrial chemicals, extinction of rare and endangered species, etc. To sustain life on the earth, the planet's natural resources must be carefully preserved. Preservation requires prodent use of our limited land, air and water resources. Inhabitants must consider how their current life styles are going to affect the quality of life during future generations.
