Dr. Vijayan Gurumurthy Iyer has received his Ph. D., LL. D., D. Sc. Engg. degrees all in Environmental Science. After three years of work as a project engineer at the Matsushita Project, Tada, he joined, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research . From 2001 , he is full Professor and Principal. Prof. Vijayan Gurumurthy Iyer was a visiting professor of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) during academic year 2004-2005. He has taught a number of courses in Cotton Ginning Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Project Formulation and Appraisal, Environmental Science and Engineering, Entrepreneurship Development, Engineering Materials and Metallurgy, Total Quality Management, Engineering Education and Remote Sensing. He has published more than 125 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has conducted number of training programmes and workshops/seminars. Dr. Vijayan Gurumurthy Iyer is a Professional Engineer and Fellow of Institution of Engineers(I), C. Eng.,member of FIMA, FIV, FMMA, FMEAI, FTA, MACS, MISTE, MISAE, MASME, MAeSI, MBII. He has been listed in ten international biographical reference books. He has been awarded Doctor of Divinity in 2011.
