Each person, whether religious or not, has aworldview. This fact leads to inevitable differencesand to the issue of worldview analysis. ForChristians, it is vital to realize that apologeticsmust occur at the worldview level. AmongEvangelicals, there are two prominent methodologiesof worldview analysis: transcendental and abductive. Both methodologies point to universal human phenomenasuch as morality and rationality in their approach. While abductive proponents argue that the Christianworldview is the best explanation for such phenomena, transcendental proponents make the stronger claimthat it is a necessary precondition. Afterestablishing that abductive methodology is superior, this book also contends that it is bolstered with aproper framework, namely the essential, biblicalcontours of redemptive history: thecreation-fall-redemption matrix. These biblicalepochs carry global significance, touching uponhumanity''s core existential issues--our origins, predicament, and hope for a remedy.
