Murder in Stonehill Manor
Jane O'Brien
Samantha Degan has a plum job as personal assistant to Professor Fenwick Stonehill. She gets to live in luxurious Stonehill Manor as she interviews the elderly gentleman and records his memoirs. That is, until the morning when she finds him dead at his desk with a letter opener in his back. When she pulls the murder weapon out without considering the consequences, Samantha is quickly marked as the killer by Detective Joseph Fletcher. However, upon further investigation, the handsome police officer soon realizes that Samantha is the last person who would ever harm her employer. Soon, the two are working together to ferret out the killer. Could the murder be tied to the twenty-year-old unsolved kidnapping of the professor's only child? Samantha has a vested interest in the professor's story and feels personally responsible to see that it doesn't end with so many unanswered questions.
