Mesrra, the daughter of the First Protectors wants so much more from life.

Having been inspired by a Lismarian called Brelsa, who had lived and worked with humans as part of the Federation of Worlds and its Navy (FWN), she now yearns to follow in Brelsa's footsteps. When Mesrra leaves home she is assigned to a FWN ship where she works hard to become an accepted member of the crew.
