Mountain Word Science is a series of textbooks designed for older teenagers, to support the word of the Mountain Word Academy with homeschooling families, co-operatives, and consortia. The fourth of our Mountain Word Science series - the third Chemistry title - is Chemistry on the Farm. This outline of agricultural science looks at the use and manufacture of chemicals required in all kinds of agriculture - both arable and livestock. The author acknowledges the influence of the old English chemistry curriculum, known as Salter's Chemistry. This use-and-process led course, while designed for a secular audience, seems inherently appropriate for a biblically-based science education series, pitched at the rhetorical (third) level of the Trivium.
