The first time she was instantly terminally plagued with the disease, Chance Dubois accepted that her expiration would come sooner than the slice of birthday cake she'd left out on the counter the night before. Now, miraculously in permanent remission for the fifth or sixth time, battling menstrual cramps and a different cancer every month seemed like a piece of cake. And by cake, she means curse.

Her humorous struggle at trying to conceal her supernatural abilities takes her on an undesirable weird ass adventure. And although being the human cure for cancer is rewarded with collected badges of honor upon her face - she'll eventually discover if the freckles are a beautiful destined gift or a fucked up generational curse.
