A translation of Doctrina de Modo Procedendi Contra Hæreticos, a Thirteenth Century handbook for Inquisitors of Heretical Depravities such as those of the Albigensians and Waldensians in what is now the South of France, together with three Papal letters of instruction, translated by John Richardson, from the text of columns 1795-1822 of Thesaurus novus anecdotorum. tomus quintus, edited by Edmond Martene and Ursin Durand, Paris, 1717. This handbook was composed and assembled in Latin by working monks of the Inquisition as an aid to fellow inquisitors on how to conduct inquiries into heresy and pronounce sentences a half century after the Albigensian Crusade.
