Jesus led his followers on a walking journey around Galilee, Samaria, and Judea and modeled for them-and for us-the kind of life that God means for us to live. As we journey through today's world, may we be reminded that each of us is a unique expression of God, and allow the joy of God's unconditional love to shine in us and through us. ***** This is a book of poems based on the Gospel of Luke -a new look at familiar stories. It focuses on Jesus' journey through the countryside and his attention to outsiders like the Roman Centurion and Zaccheus. Some of the stories are put into a modern context, with attention to the metaphorical meanings they may convey. It might provide some sermon material, or be used for devotional reading. Nearly all the stories and teachings in Luke are covered. The poems are meant to be thought-provoking and challenging.
