By the end of the story the readers curiosity is keen on knowing just what the potatoes have to say. In her seventh book, the author, Barbara Winningham uses a natural playful setting along a creek to reveal an important message to the inquisitive children. As in life, it is often in the most unexpected place or setting that we are rewarded with good news. Of course, the best part of the story is the childrens chance to share the good news with their parents.
