Lucy isn't alone! Statistics estimate that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday. Surprisingly, 95% of the victims know their predators. I hope that you will use this story to teach your children to TELL SOMEONE if this happens to them! There are prompts provided for parents to engage their children in a conversation, to help avoid this from happening to them. Parents are encouraged to teach their children about their private body parts, and that they are to be covered (like when we wear a swimsuit to swim). Private parts are just that, private! Talk about what that means.

Also, included at the back of the book are signs of sexual abuse, who to contact if this happens to your children, and websites to learn more about children and sexual abuse. This book may be used by School Counselors, Child Psychologists and hopefully, most of all, by PARENTS.
