The unexplained death of the school district's business manager draws Adam Graham, the new superintendent of the Tempe School District, into a world far removed from his leading a major school district in the education of students. Debbie Barkley, a local attorney, has become friends with Adam. Their relationship turns to love as they work together to solve the mystery.
