Nothing ever happens in Bushdell, a modern suburbia. That is, until a black, one-eyed pastry chef from France, suffering from memory loss, sets up a bakery in town overnight. One college student sets out to uncover the truth behind the baker's sudden appearance with a little help from an eight year-old boy, an internet-savvy bimbo, a good-hearted troublemaker, and a viral video. But what they discover will change their understanding of themselves, their hometown, and life itself. "BLOOD AND BAGUETTES" is a story with elements of mystery, romance, comedy, and horror, intended for modern audiences. The influence of the internet in today's society is addressed, as are issues such as death, cancer, racism and police corruption. This play is a light-hearted, fictional tale celebrating empathy and the human spirit in a cruel world.
