Swan Monokle

D Before the Release of his Debut Album on Ki, Monokle throws in an EP to show us what to expect. The beautiful track "Swan" pretty much describes perfectly what Monokle means when he says that "simple rhythms and catchy beats get him bored quickly". Being influenced by the music of the British imprint Warp for example, the Sankt Petersburg based artist has pretty much developed his own interpretation of well, what should it be called? It's Monokle! He has his very own aesthetic approach to music and has a very fine hand for sublime melodies and atmospheres. On the B Side he teams up with his friend and partner Milinal. "Swan" gets a proper retouch by Daisuke Tanabe, who shares Monokle's deep soundscapes and is just the right member of the Ki family to get his hands on this EP.
