Sandro Perri released his album “Impossible Spaces” LP in 2011 on Constellation Records, earning him rave reviews worldwide, including an 8.3 Pitchfork rating + a Best New Track, for the stunning single “Changes”. This track, plus the album track ‘Love & Light’, have been remixed/reshaped by diverse talents Zongamin, Mickey Moonlight, Eluvium & Max Gross (Glissandro 70). The remixers approach these 2 tracks quite differently – but all 4 versions have 1 fortunate thread – Perri’s vocals – which are preserved, highlighted and reimagined in wonderful ways. Sandro Perri & DFA have long been seeking a project to create together, and this release seemed like as good a place to start as any. This is a great addition and continuation of the Impossible Shapes LP listening experience, and also a lovely way to revisit these remarkable tracks. 12? vinyl & digital is released June 11, 2012.
