Philip Bader ranks as one of the old hands of the Berlin electronic music scene and also one of the latest recruits to the wide reaching Highgrade family. Bader discovered his passion for digital rhythms way back in 1998 and only a year later, made his DJ debut at the legendary, original Tresor club. The electro-fever has continued to infect him ever since. During those years, the natural born Berliner has not only developed as a DJ, but also as a producer and more recently a label founder. The connoisseur, Mr Bader is also a part of “Max and Moritz”, a synonym under which he and other friends have organised countless renowned parties, not least the infamous “Karneval der Verpeilten”…or “Carnival of the Wasted”! Now comes the first solo EP from Philip Bader on the home-grown Berlin label, Highgrade Records. “wonderland ghost” is, not only due to it’s title, a gift for all friends of electronic dance music. The three tracks: “For You”, “The Ghost”, and “what i´m standing for feat. toxic pearl” all exude the pleasure of working with the original beats and rhythms that rattle through Bader’s music. These are elegantly arranged sound montages that relentlessly push into the ears of an enraptured dance floor, taking surprising twists and turns on their way to a land of pure musical fun!
