Lyrically the album evolves around the classic dance of death, which is a topic perfectly fitting the record’s musical content. Recorded with Andreas Linnemann at Output Lydstudio and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory at Obey Mastering (Firespawn, Decapitated, Lik), tracks like the monstrous "Hecatomb", the diverse title track with its acoustic intro and storming blasts, the epic lead melodies of "Atra Mors", the moody instrumental "Ritual", which is followed by the devastating "Vortex" prove to be absolutely consistent, extremely focused (de)compositions.
