Ye marks a pivotal and deeply personal return to the global stage with his twelfth studio album: "BULLY."
Arriving through a landmark partnership with the independent music company Gamma, the project represents the artist’s first solo studio effort since the "Donda" albums in 2021 and 2022 and signals a departure from the collaborative, high-gloss energy of the "Vultures" era.
"BULLY" is described by Ye as his most "focused" work in years - a concept album that functions as a sonic self-portrait. Drawing comparisons to the emotional vulnerability of "808s & Heartbreak", the record finds Ye wrestling with themes of remorse, memory, ego, and faith.
The project first surfaced in 2025 as a work-in-progress short film directed by Ye and edited by Hype Williams, starring his son, Saint West. While earlier versions of the material famously utilized experimental AI-generated vocal textures, the final version will not be using AI according to Kanye's team.
