Symphony No.5 In D.. D. Shostakovich

This album comprises *'The Fifth Symphony'* of Soviet composer **Nikolai Shostakovich** and *'The Fifteenth Symphony'* of **Nikolay Miaskovsky**. The Shostakovich Fifth is brilliantly played by the **Leningrad Philharmonic** and conductor **Evgeny Mravinsky**. The Miakovsky Fifteenth is also given excellent treatment in a performance by the **USSR TV and Radio Orchestra** led by **Kirill Kondrashin**.
