2006 compilation CD featuring some of the most beautiful Jazz standards performed by a true master of Alto Sax. The great majority of Earl Bostic's recordings consist of Blues and Rhythm and Blues tracks. On this collection, however, Lonehill Jazz have selected some of his best readings of Jazz standards, along with some popular melodies, which are not strictly Jazz tunes but are treated here as standards ('Arrivederci Roma', 'Third Man Theme' and 'O Sole Mio'), which gives Bostic space for an impressive improvisation.
