Rigmor Gustavsson is without a doubt one of Sweden’s most successful jazz singers of all time. She studied in New York in the 90s where she formed her own band and has been touring worldwide since then. After many years with the German label ACT, featuring numerous best-selling albums and collaborations with notable artists like Nils Landgren, Lars Danielsson, various orchestras, and string quartets, she is now releasing her first album ever in her native tongue, Swedish. This album features Rigmor’s interpretation of some of her favorite Swedish songs in classy jazzy arrangements. The album includes Jonas Östholm on piano, Martin Höper on bass, and Chris Montgomery on drums.
