In April 2022, the legendary band Pink Floyd released a brand new single, "Hey Hey Rise Up!" - the first new piece of music recorded by Pink Floyd since 1994.

The single was released in support of Ukraine after the Russian invasion. On the single, Pink Floyd (with remaining members David Gilmour & Nick Mason) is joined by Ukrainian singer Andriy Khlyvnyuk from the Ukrainian band, BoomBox. The song is based on the Ukrainian anthem "Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow" from 1914.

On July 15 the single "Hey Hey Rise Up!" will also be available on physical formats that include a special bonus track: a new version of "A Great Day For Freedom" from the album The Division Bell .
