This seminal work sold over 4 million records worldwide, reaching Diamond status in France and achieving multi-platinum sales in New Zealand, The Netherlands, Belgium, double platinum in Canada, Spain, and Switzerland, platinum in Australia, Austria, Ireland, Italy, and Portugal, double gold in the United Kingdom, and gold in Argentina, Chile, Denmark, Germany, Greece, and South Africa.

In the USA, "Tourist" was the #1 contemporary Jazz Album on Billboard and was hailed as the album of the year by the UK press.

The album was remastered and released in 2012. His work has earned him 3 Victoires de la Musique Awards in France and 3 Edison Awards in The Netherlands.

To celebrate this iconic album, Warner Music France is doing a limited-edition repress of "Tourist" by St Germain. It will be available in a striking orange vinyl with an obi strip.
