2015 Japan Tour Box Part 3: Osaka, Takamatsu, Nagoya Show King Crimson Japan Import edition
2015 Japan Tour Box Part 3: Osaka, Takamatsu, Nagoya Show
King Crimson
King Crimson 2015 Complete 10 Shows Series, Part 3, a limited box set containing four performances, two Osaka shows, Takamatsu, and Nagoya, on SHM-CD for a total of 8 discs. This heavyweight box set is packed with highlights, including the legendary Takamatsu performance that became the basis for "Radical Action (To Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind)", the Osaka show where the Japanese version of "Peace" was performed for the first time, and the final Nagoya performance that marked the last concert of the 2015 King Crimson tour. It comes with a three-sided storage box that can hold all three boxes, befitting the final installment. The 10 shows of the Japan tour held in December 2015 are being released in three phases, and the final third phase bundles these four regional performances. Included are the two Osaka shows where, after the opening four Tokyo concerts, the combination of the three drummers and bass entered its strongest mode, the Takamatsu show that became the core performance for the live album "Radical Action (To Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind)", and the final Nagoya performance of the 2015 tour with its overwhelming second half. The two Osaka shows in the middle of the tour, when the band had fully entered engine full mode alongside the additional Tokyo shows just before Takamatsu, feature on the first night the highest ratio of Crimson classics among all 10 shows, and on the second night powerful hardcore Crimson improvisations comparable to the final Tokyo show on the 17th, as well as the first performance of the Japanese version of "Peace". The Takamatsu show, capturing the powerful sound of the venue as if transferred directly onto CD, is filled with excitement clearly different from "Radical Action (To Unseat the Hold of Monkey Mind)". The Nagoya performance, the last concert of 2015, shifts from a relaxed opening mood to one of the most thrilling performances of the entire 2015 tour in its final section. This box is limited to the initial pressing with no additional production. Four cardboard sleeve editions are housed in a hard shell clamshell box. The box edition only includes four Japanese version front artwork cards. SHM-CD 8-disc set, each performance in an E-style gatefold cardboard sleeve. The master tape uses a newly created mix by Alex Mundy based on the data digitally recorded on the day. This third phase box also includes a hard three-sided storage box designed to hold the clamshell boxes from phases 1, 2, and 3, with the empty space for the previously released phase 1 and 2 boxes reinforced and secured with cardboard spacers to prevent movement during shipping.
SHM-CD discs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
