Prog-rock legends Marillion have been in the game for almost 40 years, and they are still a leading force in the genre. Marillion proves this time and again, also on their 20th studio album An Hour Before It's Dark .

Marillion has never minced words when it comes to dealing with difficult themes in their songs, where they may address personal, political and/or social issues. The gloomy title of their new album is - consciously or unconsciously - strangely apt for the time we live in, where the sensation that darkness waits just around the corner is something most people can recognise to some extent. Both in a large global perspective, but also on a completely personal level.
