Baby Did You Hear Jean Durand
Baby Did You Hear
Jean Durand
The gifted Haitian born vocalist Jean Durand was a popular singer and composer of folk flavored material during the late 1950's early 1960's folk revival in America. His classic audiophile recording "Baby... Did You Hear?" has become somewhat of a collector's item in the rare folk music market. Recorded in Los Angeles in 1962, the album features some ace studio musicians supporting Durand's expressive vocals including Buddy Collete on flute; Howard Roberts and Jim Helms on guitars; Mel Pollan on bass; and Frank Capp and Larry Bunker on percussion. The session was arranged and conducted by Richard Markowitz. All selections newly re-mastered.
