Ryan Adams udsender sit nye album på Sony Music (Columbia Records) d. 10. oktober. ”Ashes & Fire” blev indspillet i LA i Sunset Sound, Hollywood og er produceret af Glyn Johns (kendt for sit arbejde med bl.a. The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Clash, The Who og The Rolling Stones). På ”Ashes & Fire” gæster bl.a.: Benmont Tench (fra Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers) og Norah Jones, der lægger vokal til flere sange, inkl. den akustiske ouverture af ”Come Home”, balladen ”Save Me” og den hjertevarme ”Kindness”. Mike Smith (Managing Director - Columbia Records) udtaler: “Ever since I heard 'Dancing With The Woman At The Bar’ I have been in thrall to Ryan Adams. Here was an artist who you could follow to the ends of the earth and yet be continually surprised by. His solo career has generated so many joyous moments and stone cold classic albums.
