Stevie Nicks was already a superstar closely associated with several million-selling Fleetwood Mac albums – not to mention her own groundbreaking solo debut “Bella Donna” and the mega-successful follow-up “The Wild Heart”. “Rock A Little”, the artist's third album, released in 1985 by Modern Records, further increased Nicks's profile and cemented her place as an important part of 1980s pop history. Although “Rock A Little” has all the hallmarks of a typical mid-80s LP, Nicks and company spared no expense in giving the music an expansive sound characterized by lush melodies, high-tech percussion, echoing vocals, sampling keyboards and multi-layered, sophisticated accents. “Rock A Little” reached the Top 20 and No. 12 on the US Billboard 200 just two weeks after its release.
