Ghana Soundz is a painstakingly assembled collection of Afro-beat and Afro Funk, most of which has never been released outside of Africa and some of which is unreleased anywhere. This is the first of three planned volumes. The recent interest in Afro music has influenced a number of musicians from Damon Albarn to Masters At Work. This album will interest anyone with a love of funky global sounds, especially those who bought the recent Fela Kuti reissues. This package will also appeal to collectors as it includes a full 16 page booklet highlighting the history of the Ghana recording industry and reproductions of original LP sleeves which normally fetch massive prices.
