Biography Matthew Hill was born December 27th 1982 in the great city of Omaha, Nebraska to Marchetta Louise Miller and Ernest Eugine Hill. In June of 1993 Matt and his mother and grandmother relocated to Huntsville, AL and made Huntsville their home. Although raised in Huntsville, Matt began singing in Omaha in the Freestone P.B. Church choir where his grandmother (Mrs Essie R. Miller ) and mother directed and sang . Matt sang with the Freestone Choir when it became the first African American choir to sing on (Mrs. Jean's Story Time ) a local Sunday morning TV program in Omaha. In Huntsville Matt continued his vocal development by listening to and singing music recorded by the old school Legends of R&B and Gospel music. Matt's mother encouraged and gave him the motivation and direction to pursue his dream as a singer and recording artist. Matt participated in the marching band at Huntsville's Whitesburg Middle School as a trumpeter. The band helped to develope his music theory. At Huntsville High School Matt participated in a future development program in 1998 ,which allowed him the opportunity to tour the world famous Fame Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, AL. Inside Fame Studio he saw many displays of the recording achievements of many legendary R&B and Rock recording artists. Matt has performed in Huntsville with The Classic Soul Band of Huntsville and The Flashback Band of Decatur, AL. He is presently a member of The Uptown Jazz Band organized by George E West of StudioAV in Huntsville. This is Matt's first solo CD effort. It displays his soulful R&B style patterned after his inspiration, the late great Luther Vandross. World! Meet and greet Matthew Hill !!!!
