Big Jay McNeely virtually single-handedly created the honking tenor sax style that was one of the musical templates for Rock & Roll. These amazing recordings were years ahead of their time. Thanks to his longevity Big Jay has a contemporary following and is known by a modern audience as one of the godfathers of the modern music scene.
