Sandy Hall
Sign Language started out as a studio project between two old friends from days gone by, Sandy and John who have known each other for more years than they want to admit. Sandy, eager to sing and record new original material to feed her passion for music and John a multi-talented composer, musician who ended up producing, engineering and mastering the project as well as composing most of the songs except for a few collaborations with Sandy, Bugzy, Joe Gabe and Joe Borowski. The album is infused with melodic, classic, Beatlesque and progressive rock influences from the 70's and 80's ranging from Heart and Queen to Genesis. This sound is coupled with Sandy's sensual, soulful, smoky timber highlighted by her powerful vocals reminiscent of female rockers like Ann Wilson, Grace Slick, Pat Benatar, Melissa Ethridge and Pink.
