? Fronted by bandleader/arranger Harry Robinson, the bootin' LORD ROCKINGHAM'S XI - or, to give them their full name, JACK GOOD PRESENTS LORD ROCKINGHAM'S XI - were the house band on the UK's first Rock'n'Roll T. V. show, Oh Boy!

? In addition to backing the various singers and guest artists on Oh Boy! They usually performed their own instrumental numbers each week.

? They also cut a handful of 45s and topped the UK charts for three weeks in late 1958 with the novelty instro, 'Hoots Mon'.

? This compilation comprises all of The Rockingham XI's releases between 1958-62, alongside similarly-styled 45s from band members and spinoff projects, Cherry Wainer, Red Price, Jack Good's Fat Noise, Rex & The Minors, Harry Robinson's XV and The Harry Robinson Crew.

? This body of work has never been thus compiled before, making for a unique package, while - as ever - a handful of these sides are making their CD debuts.
