Gary Allan is a singer/songwriter whose style of country music originated in his native California (think Merle Haggard's Bakersfield and Buck Owens move there in the 50s). Allan is a veteran honky-tonk student with a sensitive side. As a young teen, he played in bars with his dads band and learned the ropes. Nashville answered his call and he debuted on record in the latter part of the 90s. Gary Allan, in his own unique way, carved a niche for himself worthy of Icon status, and the eleven songs collected here prove that point.
