East of the Village Keith Oxman

Keith Oxman's latest recording East of the Village is his 9th for Capri Records. It came about as a result of a number of performances that this trio has been involved in during the past few years. In the fall of 2015, Oxman, Jeff Jenkins and Todd Reid played a two-month residency at Denver's newest jazz venue, Nocturne. From those two months and subsequent performances they grew individually, and as a group, particularly with respect to repertoire. Of the 10 pieces featured on the CD, there is one original by each member of the group, six rarely played standards and one track by legendary jazz saxophonist Hank Mobley.
