Krein / Seifetdinova
Alexander Krein and Mieczyslaw were both Soviet composers of Jewish origin. Both left behind substantial bodies of excellent work. Weinberg was particularly prolific, leaving behind more than one-hundred and fifty published works, including seven operas, twenty-two symphonies, seventeen string quartets and twenty-eight instrumental sonatas. Born in Kiev, pianist Anastasia Seifetdinova is deeply steeped in this literature.
