Across the Stars Anne-Sophie Mutter

Star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and legendary film composer John Williams release the album Across the Stars on August 30, 2019. The recording features a diverse selection of Williams' famous film themes, which were themselves rearranged and directed by the composer. The album features themes from Star Wars (Rey's Theme from The Force Awakens, Princess Leia's Theme from A New Hope), as well as younger works (Sayuri's Theme from The Geisha, as well as Hedwig's Theme from

Harry Potter). The music was recorded in April 2019 with The Recording Arts Orchestra of Los Angeles in the famous Sony Scoring Stage. Anne-Sophie Mutter, a four-time Grammy Award-Winner and one of the best violinists of our time worldwide, says it's a tremendous honor for her to work with five-time Academy Award winner and 24-time Grammy Award winner John Williams. Mutter will also bring the newly created repertoire to the stage. On September 14, David Newman and Anne-Sophie Mutter give a pure Williams concert on the Königsplatz in Munich.
