Becoming Frida Kahlo

All three episodes of the BBC documentary which explores the life and career of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo and includes interviews with art historians and family members alongside Kahlo's own words and works. In 1925 she was almost killed in a bus crash that ended her plans to become a doctor and saw her turn to art instead. Her love for her country and for the artist Diego Rivera, as well as her experiences in America and the constant pain and losses she endured throughout her life, all served as inspiration for her art.

The episodes are: 'The Making and Breaking', 'Love and Loss' and 'A Star Is Born'.
