Mike Todd directs this documentary which charts the life and career of legendary Liverpool FC manager Bill Shankly. Born in the Ayrshire mining town of Glenbuck, Shankly enjoyed a successful career as a player before being appointed Liverpool manager in 1959. Leading the club to huge success both domestically and in Europe, Shankly is credited with instilling a winning mentality which would see Liverpool go on to become one of the most successful clubs in English football.
The film features archive footage, interviews with Shankly himself and contributions from former players such as Ian St John, Phil Thompson, Roger Hunt and Jamie Carragher.
