Jason Clarke and Helen Mirren star in this US supernatural horror directed by Michael and Peter Spierig. After inheriting a huge fortune following the death of her gun magnate husband, grieving widow Sarah Winchester (Mirren) moves to California to start a new life. Convinced that her family is cursed, Sarah uses her money to build a sprawling seven-storey mansion on the advice of a spiritual medium as an asylum for the vengeful spirits haunting her.
After summoning Doctor Eric Price (Clarke) to the house however, Sarah soon begins to feel the presence of a particularly evil entity with a score to settle.
