From the producers of PAN'S LABYRINTH and THE ORPHANGE, this creepy supernatural thriller centres on Maria, a marine biologist. With her five year-old son Diego in tow, Maria journeys to the isolated island of El Hierro for a well-deserved break. Her recreation is however short lived when Diego vanishes on the ferry. With the police writing-off Diego's disappearance as a case of the child simply falling overboard Maria returns home. But six months later she is called and asked to return to El Hierro when a childÆs body is discovered on the shore. Rejecting the notion that the body is that of her son and confined to the island until a judge-sanctioned DNA test can be carried out, Maria decides to launch an investigation of her own...
