Animated double bill of feature-length spin-offs and prequels to the 2010 hit 'Despicable Me'. 'Minions' (2015) shows that throughout history - and before Gru - the Minions have served many a despicable master, including Genghis Khan, Napoleon and Dracula. Having contributed to their masters' downfalls through a series of mishaps, the Minions find themselves living in Antarctica with no one to serve.

A number of years pass and it isn't until 1968 that dispirited Minions Kevin, Stuart and Bob (all voiced by Pierre Coffin) set off to New York City to attend a villain convention and find themselves a new master. Here they meet the ambitious and dastardly Scarlet Overkill (Sandra Bullock) who, with the help of her husband Herb (Jon Hamm), plans to take over the world... 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' (2022) features the voice of Steve Carell as Gru.

Young Gru is a fan of supervillain supergroup the Vicious 6 and hatches a plan to become evil enough to join them. Together with his loyal Minions, he builds his first lair and experiments with weapons. He interviews to join the Vicious 6 but it goes badly and things get worse when he outsmarts them and finds himself their mortal enemy.
